My group decided to go with discrimination within the workplace for our umbrella topic. Each of us are doing research on different types of workplace discrimination, and for my topic in the umbrella, I will be tackling two types of lesser known workplace discrimination. In this podcast. The first type of workplace discrimination I will be talking about concerns the struggles that older than average (Ages 50+) and younger than average (Ages 16-20) working class citizens face when applying for jobs as well as when they do get employed. The second type of workplace discrimination I will be talking about concerns the challenges that working class citizens with disabilities (Asperger's Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injuries, Etc.) face when applying to jobs and once they do get employed. While these issues are not talked about very often like other types of discrimination (Gender, Race, Sexuality, Etc.), the fact remains that the unfair treatment of the categories mentioned above still exist, and I will be shedding some light on the topic.
