Today we will be discussing the article “If Woodward’s book is a ‘political hit job,’ Trump is the culprit” by Jonathan Allen. This article was published by CNN news on September 9, 2020 in light of the upcoming election in November. United States president Donald Trump was caught on video admitting he downplayed the coronavirus crisis to avoid a public panic. The people were not happy about hearing that they had been lied too from their president. I will be using this article for a rhetorical analysis. I chose to analyze this article because it is very relevant today. With Trump running for re-election in just a few weeks, will this affect his chance of winning? The people want a president who knows how to handle a crisis, do you think Trump handled this crisis appropriately? Will the people of this country be able to trust him again after being lied too and kept in the dark? At the end of my podcast, I will give my personal opinions on the subject, so make sure you listen to my podcast to find out more.
