If you want a dedicated solution to keep your car trunk contents from sliding around during daily commutes or weekend drives, choose ENFONG Car Parcel Shelf; if you need a robust hardware kit to securely mount a top case to a motorcycle and eliminate dangerous wobble on rough terrain, choose EBTOOLS Motorcycle Trunk Screw.
These two products solve entirely different problems for different types of drivers. The ENFONG parcel shelf strap is designed specifically for the interior organization of a sedan or hatchback trunk, while the EBTOOLS support bar is engineered for the high-vibration environment of a motorbike rear rack. Confusing them would be a mistake, as neither can effectively replace the other. This guide cuts through the noise to help you decide which specific tool fits your vehicle and your driving lifestyle.
• ENFONG Car Parcel Shelf: Its biggest strength is preventing loose items from shifting in the trunk, but its trade-off is that it only works with specific MK6, MK5, and MK2 Volkswagen models requiring a precise fit.
• EBTOOLS Motorcycle Trunk Screw: Its biggest strength is providing a durable, all-in-one mounting system that eliminates rattling and secures heavy loads, but its trade-off is that it is strictly for motorcycles and requires installing a top case.
• Who each pick is for: The ENFONG strap is for car owners who want a tidy trunk without buying new accessories, while the EBTOOLS kit is for riders who need to expand their cargo capacity safely.
The ENFONG Car Parcel Shelf String Cord is a deceptively simple accessory that solves a surprisingly common frustration for car owners. When you buy groceries, pack gym bags, or throw some tools in the back, those items often slide around when you hit a bump or take a sharp turn. This cord is designed to act as a tether, keeping your rear trunk organized and secure. It is not a full shelf replacement; rather, it is a tensioning system that holds your existing cargo in place so you don't have to constantly rearrange your belongings after every drive.
This product is ideal for owners of MK6, MK5, and MK2 8P, 8V, and 1K6863447A 1K6863447A9B9 models who are tired of the "shifting pile" problem. If you frequently go on road trips or simply run errands where you need quick access to items like a water bottle, a laptop bag, or a grocery bag, this black string cord helps maintain a clean and tidy storage space. It ensures that what you load stays put, eliminating the hassle of digging through a jumbled mess when you open the tailgate later.

However, you should skip this product if you do not own one of the compatible Volkswagen models listed above, as the design relies on a precise fit to function correctly. It is also not a solution if you are looking to add a hard shelf to your trunk; this is purely a cord-based restraint system. If your goal is to carry large, bulky items that need a flat surface rather than just being held in place, this strap alone will not provide that structural support. It is a maintenance and organization tool, not a major upgrade to your vehicle's storage architecture.
For motorcyclists, the difference between a secure ride and a dangerous one often comes down to how well the luggage is attached. The EBTOOLS Motorcycle Trunk Screw Lock Support Bar is built to address exactly that issue. This kit provides a secure trunk mounting system that connects your top case firmly to the bike's frame. The primary benefit here is stability; by using high-strength metal construction, these fasteners resist wear and ensure long-lasting performance even in harsh weather conditions. They handle heavy loads without bending or breaking, which gives you peace of mind knowing your luggage won't detach on rough roads.
This product is perfect for riders who want to maximize their cargo capacity without sacrificing safety. Whether you are commuting daily or heading out on a weekend adventure, this set allows you to securely attach a top case to carry extra gear, tools, or personal items. The kit includes 18 accessories, such as screws, brackets, and support bars, making installation straightforward since you do not need to source individual parts separately. By reducing rattling noises and vibrations, it contributes to a smoother, quieter ride, allowing you to focus on the road ahead rather than worrying about loose hardware.
You should avoid this product if you are driving a car or looking for a simple adhesive hook. It is a mechanical mounting solution intended for the high-torque environment of a motorcycle. Furthermore, if you do not already plan to install a top case, this kit has no utility on its own; it is an accessory designed to enhance an existing setup. It is not a standalone storage container but rather the critical infrastructure required to make carrying a box safe and effective. If your motorcycle does not have a compatible mounting point or if you prefer soft panniers over a rigid top case, this screw lock system may not be the right fit for your riding style.

The choice ultimately depends on whether your vehicle is a car or a motorcycle and what kind of storage problem you are trying to solve. If you are dealing with loose grocery bags in a VW trunk, the ENFONG strap is the targeted fix. If you are trying to stop a heavy luggage box from rattling off your bike, the EBTOOLS kit is the necessary engineering solution. One keeps things tidy inside a closed space; the other keeps things attached to the outside of a moving machine.
I recommend the ENFONG Car Parcel Shelf for teen drivers who are learning to manage their first car's trunk space. Young drivers often struggle with keeping items organized, and having a simple cord that prevents bags from sliding around makes the driving experience less stressful and safer. However, if you are a rider, the EBTOOLS Motorcycle Trunk Screw is the non-negotiable choice for anyone taking a trip with gear. In my opinion, the ENFONG option offers the best immediate value for a car owner looking to solve a specific annoyance, while the EBTOOLS option is essential for serious riders who need reliable hardware.
Yes, the motorcycle trunk screw kit includes 18 accessories, including all necessary screws, brackets, and support bars, for a straightforward installation.
According to the product features, the sturdy mount reduces rattling noises and vibrations, contributing to a smoother, quieter ride for both rider and passenger.
The cord is designed to prevent items from shifting during transportation and keep your storage area organized, but it is a tensioning strap, not a rigid holder for heavy boxes.
