Arlete Apolinário is a Senior Researcher at IFIMUP specializing in materials physics (nanomaterials) mainly focused on advanced 3rd generation solar cells: nanostructured semiconductors. In the last years, she has been focusing her research on nanomaterials for Green H2 generation and on Biomaterials, Bioplastics-based algae materials. She is the PI of the project H2FlexiPEC's - flexible cells for water splitting and H2 generation.

João Ventura is a Principal Researcher at IFIMUP and Vice-President of IFIMUP and of CEMUP-MNTEC. His research is placed at the interface between materials and devices in a broad range of energy harvesting and nano-electronic applications, currently focusing on advanced triboelectric nanogenerators and memristive-based neuromorphic applications.

J. H. Belo is a professor at FCUP. His work focus on the beauty of multifunctional materials and their potential applications lead him to deepen his experience in the material synthesis, ranging from the macro to the nanoscale, while simultaneously lead him to enhance his capabilities in different experimental characterization techniques (morphological, chemical, atomic structure, transport and magnetic) and its global interpretation.

Andre Pereira is a professor at FCUP. His research is focused on the area of flexible Energy Devices (plastics or textiles), Energy Harvesting (thermoelectric and triboelectrics) and in its storage using supercapacitors. Moreover, he continues working on magnetism and quantum physics particularly in materials with strong correlation between spin and lattice, magnetic nanoparticles (Bioengineering), magnetostrictive materials (Industrial project) and more recently in topological systems in the area of quantum physics. Founder of a spin-off at the University of Porto (inanoEnergy) and co-founder of a start-up project (WeStoreOnTEX).
