Energy Auditor Mobile ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
Energy Auditor Mobile is designed as a local-first application. All of your data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. This includes:
Workbook Data: All energy audit workbooks you create, including calculations, notes, and measurements
Images and Photos: Photos you capture or import for your energy audits
Equipment Records: Equipment data and spot check information you enter
Pump Curves: Custom pump curve data and calculations
Sketches and Annotations: Drawings and annotations you create within the app
App Settings and Preferences: Your personal app settings and configuration
This data is stored in:
SQLite database on your device
Local device storage (AsyncStorage)
Device file system (for images and exported files)
We do not have access to any of this data. It remains solely on your device.
Device Permissions
The App requests the following permissions to provide its functionality:
Camera: To capture photos for energy audit documentation
Photo Library: To access and save photos related to your audits
File Storage: To save and export your workbooks as PDF and CSV files
Local Storage: To store your workbooks and app data on your device
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect any personal information
We do not track your location
We do not use analytics or tracking services
We do not collect usage statistics
We do not access your contacts or other personal data
We do not use advertising networks or third-party trackers
In-App Purchases
The App offers optional premium subscriptions through:
Apple App Store (for iOS devices)
Google Play Store (for Android devices)
When you make a purchase:
Your payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google
We do not collect or store your payment information
We only receive confirmation that a valid subscription exists
Your subscription data is managed by Apple/Google according to their privacy policies

Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your data with any third parties because we do not collect or have access to your data in the first place. Your data remains on your device.
The only exception is when you explicitly choose to export and share your workbooks:
You control when and how to export your data (PDF, CSV formats)
You choose which app to use for sharing (email, file sharing, etc.)
Export functionality uses your device's native sharing features
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
Your data security depends on your device's security (passcode, biometric lock, encryption)
We recommend keeping your device secure and updated
We recommend regular backups of your device to prevent data loss
Deleted workbooks are permanently removed from your device
Children's Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is designed for professional energy auditors and is not directed at children.
Data Retention and Deletion
All data is retained locally on your device until you choose to delete it
You can delete individual workbooks at any time through the app
Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data from your device
We cannot recover deleted data as we do not maintain backups on our servers
Your Rights and Choices
You have complete control over your data:
Access: All your data is accessible within the app
Modification: You can edit or update any information in the app
Deletion: You can delete individual workbooks or uninstall the app to remove all data
Export: You can export your data as PDF or CSV files at any time
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
Updating the "Last Updated" date
Providing notice through app store update notes
International Users
The App operates entirely on your device. No data is transmitted internationally or stored on servers in any jurisdiction.
