ZHeat—Heatsink Analyzer is a free, browser-based thermal analysis tool developed at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur.
ZHeat enables engineers, researchers, and students to design and evaluate heatsink configurations through rigorous analytical computation—covering fin efficiency, effectiveness, overall surface efficiency, thermal resistance, and temperature distribution—across seven fin geometries, including longitudinal, pin, conical, and polygon arrays, with optional convection–radiation coupled analysis.
The tool provides live 3-view geometric previews, an interactive temperature distribution plot based on the exact analytical solution, CAD export in STL and OBJ formats, and a one-click branded PDF analysis report — all grounded in classical extended-surface heat transfer theory. Currently available as a Beta version, with the full production release to follow soon.
