  • Development of effective pretreatment technologies; thermochemical, biochemical and physicochemical methods and process optimization for the preparation and processing of biomass feedstock

  • Production of various biofuel products such as biodiesel, (bio)ethanol, (bio)butanol, (bio)hydrogen, and biogas from various organic resources

  • Development of bioelectrochemical systems (BECs), relying on electrochemically active biofilm on the cathode for waste biorefinery, pollutants removal, and CO2 bioconversion to methane
