Our Story
In August 2023, our lives took an unexpected turn when Sean was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had metastasized to his liver. The news was devastating, but we were determined to fight. Over the next 13 months, he underwent two major surgeries and endured 17 rounds of chemotherapy. The journey was challenging, but with the unwavering support of our family and friends, we are grateful today that he is currently considered disease-free.
Our three wonderful children, Sam, Jack, and Emily, have been a constant source of joy and motivation. Their smiles and laughter remind us every day of the importance of family and the power of hope.
Inspired by our experience and the support we received; we decided to start the "End the Trend" charity to help prevent others from being affected by colon cancer. Our annual golf outing is our way to bring the community together, raise awareness, and fund vital research. All the money we raise through our event is donated to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, whose goals align directly with ours.
One of our primary goals is to raise awareness about the importance of proper screening for colon cancer. Early detection can save lives, and we want to spark conversations that encourage people to get screened and take proactive steps for their health.
Sadly, our journey has also been marked by loss. In September 2024, we lost our dear friend Eric to stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 44. Eric's courage and positive attitude in the face of adversity continue to inspire us, and we dedicate our efforts to his memory.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Your support of our cause means the world to us and will help save lives!
More than 50 individuals donated to our cause that did not attend our event in person.
Through the power of corporate gift matching, we were able to make a $40,000 donation to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance in our first year.
