People,
Continuing the URL structure conversation from this morning, which is on the home page at:
https://www.sites.google.com/endofwar
...Standardizing the USA’s government URL structure will not only resolve an international diplomatic crisis; interacting with these internet addresses will keep the public informed and educated as to the constitutional structure and amended structure of our government. A well-informed populace makes for a much stronger country. To resolve the autofill and URL structure (DNS) issue entirely just require a series of redirects.
To make things right with other countries:
After we have established all these redirects, we can start to redirect from the generic .gov site to the usa.gov URLs, with a brief statement to explain: “USA government websites formerly occupied ALL .gov sites. These sites are now on usa.gov.”
This will actually make the federal government more powerful through efficiency in overseeing local governments' internet activities, AND it will improve the accountability of the federal government to the people and to its agencies and local governments at the same time. This is a rare win-win case.
Within each group below, the URLs should ALL link to the same web page:
For the three legislative branches (Executive, The Congress, and Supreme Court) and their departments:
agency-or-committee.department.branch.usa.gov
department.branch.usa.gov/agency-or-committee
branch.usa.gov/department/agency-or-committee
usa.gov/branch/department/agency-or-committee
For cities and their departments:
department-or-committee.city.county.state.usa.gov
city.county.state.usa.gov/department-or-committee
county.state.usa.gov/city/department-or-committee
state.usa.gov/county/city/department-or-committee
usa.gov/state/county/city-department-or-committee
For states, the nested government departmental structure would thus be:
agency-or-committee.department.branch.state.usa.gov
department.branch.state.usa.gov/agency-or-committee
branch.state.usa.gov/department/agency-or-committee
state.usa.gov/branch/department/agency-or-committee
usa.gov/state/branch/department/agency-or-committee
Again, international diplomacy will improve dramatically if people have a straightforward URL system that facilitates our ability to get the official word of each government and interact with it in a straightforward fashion.
Thank you all.
