[Biography] Jung Kyu Kim received his bachelor’s, M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering, and Nano-science & Technology from Sungkyunkwan University in 2010, 2012 and 2015, respectively. In 2012-2015, he was granted the Global Ph.D. Fellowship by National Research Foundation of Korea. Prior to joining Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in 2018, he did his postdoctoral work in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, USA (2015-2018). He is currently a tenure-track associate professor at School of Chemical Engineering, and SKKU Advanced Institute of Nano Technology in SKKU. He is an editor of the Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry and a member of The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry (academic committee member), The Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers (section committee member), and The Korean Electrochemical Society (academic committee member). Since 2018, his research group focuses on the diverse novel nanomaterials and advanced devices for the high sustainable environmentally friendly energy resources, energy conversions and energy storages via solar-to-electrochemical and electric-to-chemical approaches towards the ultimate “Green Hydrogen” production and “Carbon Neutrality”.
