Emmanuelle Danblon is Professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles where she teaches rhetoric, argumentative theories and history of linguistic ideas. Her work aims at conciliating the rhetoric tradition with the contemporary linguistic concepts. She coordinates the GRAL, Groupe de Recherche en Rhétorique et en Argumentation Linguistique, which between 2013 and 2017 has developed and carried out the “democracy workshops”, a program of education to citizenship in partnership with the educational team of the Athénée Marguerite Yourcenar.
Chrysi Rapanta is Senior Researcher at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal). She works on dialogue and argumentation, with a special focus on educational pratices and tool for the development of critical thinking. She coordinates many international projects involving schools and universities. Among her many international publications, her most important pedagogical manual is "Argumentation strategies in the classroom" (Vernon Press, 2019).
Fabrizio Macagno is assistant professor at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), where he teaches “Strategic Argumentation”, “Teaching philosophy” e “Rhetoric of advertising”. His research focuses on the interplay between argumentation and semantics, investigated from an epistemological, logical and linguistic perspective. He is author of many international publications, including the recent "Interpreting straw man argumentation” (Springer 2017).
