Mowing Rota & Plot Inspections Rota

Hi Guys, in an effort to help Enderby's pollinators, we would like to leave some areas of grass un-mown. The map below shows where these areas are. (Entrance is at the bottom right) The green rectangles are the existing grass paths to be mown and the red line is the area of grass to be left uncut for the grass to grow. Hopefully it will become quite obvious pretty soon with festoons of daffodils, other bulbs and wild plants making themselves at home throughout the year. These details can also be found on the notice board on site. Thanks all!

Mowing Rota 2024

Please find below a table showing the dates and plot numbers of whose week it is to mow. Please note the weeks run from Sunday to Saturday so you have a choice of two weekends and any time in between, to make it more accessible for people. Any questions and to arrange a time to get access to the lawn mower please just contact a member of the committee by phone, personal email or facebook a few days or weeks in advance please, who will be more than happy to help! (The email is only checked once a week so if you'd like to email to arrange a specific mowing time please email well in advance!) Thank you for helping keep our allotments looking beautiful!

Plot Inspections Rota 2024

Inspections start at 10am. Members of the committee will be there too and we split into two groups and visit half the allotment plots each. The aim is to go round the whole site and assess the state of the plots.

The plot inspections are a great way for non committee members to have a look how other people are doing things, find out how the terms of agreement of care and plot safety are carried out and to enjoy a social walk around the site talking about veg!

To each inspection we invite two plot-holders to join us. For privacy reasons we don't want to put names on the website, so we have used plot numbers in the list below instead, next to the date the inspections are held (the first saturday of each month). If your plot number is on the list, we'd love to see you there.
