原圖位於主室東壁窟門南側。維摩詰坐於牀榻上，眉毛飛揚，眼睛凝視前方，虯鬚雲髯勁健飛動，身軀微前傾，左手置左膝上，右手執塵尾，其辯才無礙的形象呼之欲出。該像賦彩簡淡而著力於線描，線條遒勁雄壯、流暢生動，散發著勃勃生機，恰當地傳達出維摩詰的內在精神。

This painting imitates part of the illustration of the Vimalakirti Sutra located on the right side of the east wall of the main chamber. In this painting, Vimalakirti is seated on a canopy bed, gazing straight ahead with his eyebrows raised. He has a long beard and a dignified bearing. Vimalakirti holds a whisk in his right hand and leans forward, resting his left arm on his knee.
