encore in French means - again, something more. It is why we upuse vintage designer fabrics and create unique, one of a kind jackets.

Surrounded by piles of high-quality designer fabrics in downtown Kansas City, Dana recently returned to KC from the LA area and was struck with an idea. She called her friend Angela, a sewing enthusiast, and said, "Can you come see this? I think we can transform these beautiful fabrics into amazing pieces and give them a new life."

With that, encore was born. Starting with high-end designer fabrics, we make one-of-a-kind designer jackets and luxury accessories.

"The materials we use to create these works of art are once-loved items that, for a variety of reasons, were given away or sold," Angela says. Each item we procure is sourced and researched, then carefully cleaned using eco-friendly methods. The next step is to design and sew them into unique, one-of-a-kind creations.

“Although we are not affiliated with the brands or trademarks of the products we up-use,” Angela says, “we love working with authenticated, high-end designer goods, reimagining them into something new.”

encore is a brand dedicated to bringing joy to others by transforming designer fabrics, silks, and high-end textiles into upcycled luxury goods.

In 2023, we were simply two women with complementary talents coming together to have fun and create beautiful things. Today encore is a functioning social enterprise: we built a company doing something we enjoy while also giving back to our community.

Having first crossed paths in high school at American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, we reconnected on bid day at the Kappa house in college. Over the next four years we lived through many shared experiences, and after graduation, we pursued rewarding careers in the corporate sector, non-profit, retail, and real estate.

Now reunited and building our company together, encore is a business that blends our passions for design, creativity, and making a positive impact. A portion of our profits are donated to charitable causes supporting women and their families — staying true to the spirit of our name — giving something more.
