Artifact #1: DLA Presentation on the Digital Studio Workshop
This project was completed during ENC 2135 as a research based assignment focused on genre awareness, rhetorical analysis, and academic writing. Its purpose to me in my writing was to analyze how antitrust laws apply to modern technology companies through the case of U.S. v. Google LLC. I included this artifact because it demonstrates my ability to include scholarly sources, develop a sustained argument, and make meaningful global revisions rather than surface level edits. Compared to other work from the course, this project best represents my growth in organization, analysis, and understanding of audience and purpose.
Artifact #2: Jigsaw Activity
The Jigsaw Activity was completed to collaboratively explore rhetorical situations, genres, and annotated readings, allowing us to learn from each group’s research. Each group contributed unique insights: Groups 1 and 2 emphasized purpose, audience, and genre selection; Group 3 focused on analyzing texts through annotated readings; and Groups 4 and 5 examined rhetorical appeals and their connection to audience and purpose. Combining these perspectives helped develop a comprehensive understanding of how rhetorical choices shaped effective communication. This understanding informed Project 2, supporting stronger arguments and more intentional writing.
