After the resignations and first round of snap elections at the beginning of the month, Enadians went to the polls for a second time to elect the Union’s Speaker of Parliament. After a couple of weeks of campaigning, ballots were cast on Monday. On Tuesday, YoungGunners was announced the winner by a considerable margin.
The President sent a message on the Wednesday after election to the newly elected speaker wishing him luck:
Mr. Speaker,
I am writing this letter to you to congratulate you on your impressive win, in becoming EU's most trusted Voice of Democracy.
Our region, as young and naive as it can be, has proven over time that, wherever there is a goodwill, a compassionate love and personal integrity, good things will happen.
Mr. Speaker, as you are aware our Parliament is in dire need for your help, guidance and input. The Enadians, as Member Nations of our mighty Union, have expressed their wish and desire to see themselves and their nations for that matter, represented in our Temple of Democracy and Liberty.
Mr. Speaker, according to our Constitution you are equally, as strong as I am. Therefore, I am kindly asking you, to keep our governments work under your rightful inspection. Feel free to criticize us and I urge you, to accept New and Old Members of our Union, in this great Temple that allows us to exercise our Rights as citizens of the EU. Our beloved Parliament.
I am confident that, you and I, will develop a constructive relationship, based in good faith and good will. After all, we are all servants of this great region and it's people.
Yours truly,
Sir Harry
President of the Enadian Union.
Soon afterward, the Speaker got to work, rallying parliament members together to vote and debate on proposed bills:
The Speaker, Ministers, President, and Vice President were sworn in Wednesday. At the time of this writing, the Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministers have not taken the oath, but are expected to do so over the following days when they are ready.

President Latman made his official inauguration speech on May 7th. In his speech, he asked Enadians to “lay a hand and take part in the collective objective of making Enadia a place of freedom, liberty and democracy.”
The full speech can be found here: https://enadia.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2373#p2373
After the initial ceremonies, officials are expected to get straight to work in order to complete their goals for the term. At the above-mentioned meeting, E.U. Government officials will announce their plans for the EU | 04 term. Some have already laid out plans, like the Minister of Culture, Green Africa, who announced them in his office in the forums:

The Culture Minister started the process last week of creating a cultural server to house RP Committee and E.M.P. offices, while being able to host various cultural events that otherwise would have occupied one channel on the main server or be cluttered across the main server. Starting as an independent affair, then an offer to repair the old RP server, the situation has evolved again into a skeleton being made by the newly elected Speaker and completely expanded with new roles depending on the official or staff status. The new server will also house an expanded cartography and roleplay area, for roleplay chat that would otherwise have to keep players continuously refreshing forums. The forums are expected to stay for things such as official treaties and state announcements, however.
At the same time, Green Africa talked with the Education Minister and Latman about future cultural and humanities studies at Luxford. Current dates for Luxford are unknown, but the new server is set to be unveiled early next week.

On Thursday, members of a diplomatic envoy from the region of V.A.L.T.I.C. were invited to a state dinner hosted by the EU President and his administration officials after their recent negotiations. It was announced in an official tweet that Embassies would be established as a result of successful bilateral talks.

A proposal was made to the Security Council to Liberate Enadia on Tuesday after claims were made against our region’s “aggressive” and “victimizing” behavior. Throughout the debate, Foreign Affairs Minister Greater Vakolicci Haven and the founder and WA delegate of Union of Democratic States Thatcher (The Noble Thatcherites) exchanged their opinions on the recent incident where a diplomat (who shall not be named to the general public) said some snide remarks about harmony and peaceful politics and culture in Enadia. However, the issue was soon sorted out, and officials gameside and in the regions have looked into the matter.
The banner that I almost chose for this issue after the Santa Fe School Massacre on Friday. Their main school color (based on their district's website) is green.
A Commentary on American Gun Violence
Green Africa, Saturday, May 19, 2018
Well, yet another shooting happened yesterday. Ten more children died at a place that should be known for, aside from its usual monotony, its safety: school. However, in the last half a century, especially these last few years, the American school has become known as a place for the unexpected. And when that unexpected event occurs, it is sometimes deadly...all at the end of a gun barrel or knife, depending on the situation. But usually, it is the work of a madman with a gun.
Don’t get me wrong; sure, guns don’t kill people. I’m talking to my gun-owning friends who make that claim because, obviously, guns are inanimate objects and can’t kill people on their own (ahahaha….yeah...no, not funny). However, people do kill people with guns, believe it or not!
Someone shared a tweet in the memes channel of our Discord by David Hogg, a victim and activist coming into the spotlight after the Valentine’s Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman in Florida:
“Get ready for two weeks of media coverage of politicians acting like they give a s*** when in reality they just want to boost their approval ratings before midterms”
Yes, fellow American Enadians, it is going to be the usual after the media gets through with all this Royal Wedding euphoria isn’t it? C.N.N., The Big Three (ABC, NBC, CBS) and the rest of the gang will come back from across the pond to interview the holier-than-thou congressmen and talking heads about getting something done who will pander to their respective voting blocs. “We gotta get stronger gun laws!” “No, I’m a member of the N.R.A. (National Rifle Association), you can take ‘em out of my cold hands!” They will interview the kids too, but only about what they experienced, not THEIR opinions. No, they are just kids and have no fully matured brains to form an opinion of their own. And when one like Hogg does form an opinion of his own? Boy, is he looking for trouble eh? The N.R.A. was mad as a hornet’s nest, you better believe it, because supposedly delinquent teens without relevant opinions actually rose up and tried to sock it to them!
Speaking of the devil: the N.R.A., one of the most powerful lobbying forces in the legislatures of the U.S., has all of these politicians in their pocket, especially the 2nd Amendment touting politicians. Those same politicians that support “Right-to-Life” for the unborn are too clammy-handed and cold-footed to actually cooperate with people across the political aisle to actually make schools safer for those already born because they would, most likely, lose that precious check from lobbyists. “People would lose their guns!” Actually, it would be just mad men, criminals, and of course, children that wouldn’t be allowed to own them. You know...those same children that apparently aren’t old enough to have a valid opinion about society’s problems but are old enough to have a hunting rifle.
Take it from me, a recent High School Graduate who, at his own school, along with numerous other students across America after Valentine’s Day 2018, watched as administration and teachers had to explain what we would have to do if an intruder of Columbine danger levels came on to our campuses. It was scary to think about. That actually brings me to the worst part. One of the victims from Santa Fe said she knew it would probably happen there! However, people still won’t care, will they?
No words.
But yes, before Midterm elections (for those not familiar, elections that are held in the middle of the President’s term of office for congressional seating), stand up America and make these people answer your questions! Make ‘em squirm to the point where they finally break and have to give a coherent answer, because word salads ain’t gonna cut it anymore!
What are you going to do, congressman/woman ______ to make American schools, and American public gatherings in general, safer? Or do you have any N.R.A. money that you would rather keep? Don’t worry...we will wait for you to cash that last check in, and probably keep dying of gun violence as we do so. Come on, you! Answer the question!
Meanwhile, students: If you see or hear something, say something. If someone is alone, talk to them. Get them help if needed. Societal problems do not mix with a mental issue, and anything helps to keep another kid, or adult quite frankly, from thinking killing all their “opponents” and/or themselves as a solution!
I know Xzibit memes are probably dead, but I was editing and couldn’t pass this up. There will probably be more bad jokes to come.
Be one of the first FIVE to D.M. or T.G. Green Africa with the answer and you could possibly win one or more of these prizes:
Question Time:
In our first issue, what region was White Ridge appointed to as ambassador?
