Japanese and German makers, users, and experts gathered for a panel discussion on the future of craftsmanship. They shared their challenges and gained inspiration and discoveries from each other.

Despite it being a weekday afternoon, many visitors came to the venue, and the event was also viewed online from Germany, Japan, the U.S., the Netherlands, Canada, France, Finland, and other countries.

The concept was to explore opportunities for young people who aspire to become handicraft artisans to be active and network, to meet fellow artisans from different countries whom they would not normally encounter, and to gain new ideas from each other.

The program was conducted with the aim of enabling craftspeople and professionals to share the differences and congruencies between Japan and Germany regarding handicrafts, and for both sides to gain inspiration and discoveries.
