The density of temples and shrines on the Uemachi Plateau is the highest in Japan. It is a historical city with more than 1,400 years of history that is deeply related to the creation of Japan's history. The "Art Salon @ Teramachi" was held as part of the "Art Town Development" project being undertaken for 2022, the 1,400th anniversary of Prince Shotoku's death. Each year, an annual theme is set for this series of events, in which participants enjoy weekday evenings listening to guest intellectuals and artists and discussing in a free atmosphere.
