Lecturer: Setsuya Hashizume (Professor Emeritus, Osaka University; Former Director, Osaka University Museum of Art)
Born in Osaka City in 1958. Graduated from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Served as Chief Curator of the Preparatory Office for the Osaka Municipal Museum of Modern Art (provisional name), Professor at the Osaka University Museum of Integrated Sciences and Technology (former Director), and Professor at the Graduate School of Literature and Humanities, Osaka University. Currently an Emeritus Professor. Major publications include: “Original-Size Reproduction: The Complete Collection of ‘Naniwa 100 Views’,” “Hashizume Setsuya's Osaka 100 Views,” “Great Osaka Image” (Sogensha), “Working Ukiyo-e: The Great Japan Product Guide” (Seigensha), “The Complete Works of Kimura Kenchikudo” (Geika Shobo), and “Osaka with Wings: Essays on the History of Art in the Early Modern and Modern Periods” (Sogensha), among others. Recipient of the 13th Mizuki Jūgo-dō Award (Yamato-Kōriyama City).
