Information and communication Technology (ICT) has a potencial to be more than just a tool; throughout my time as an Empowerment Technologies student, it has become a catalyst for change. I can still clearly remember an instance in which my virtual journal -a space in the internet that i thought of as my digital voice-become a vehicle for promoting and advocating for causes that wear dear to my heart. It all started with a program that examined the relatuonship between technology and social transportation. Equipped with this new found understanding, I made the decision to use my blog as a plat form advocacy.

Bill and Melinda Gates, through the have been instrumental in leveraging ICT Melinda gates foundation for social change. They have focused on initiatives like global health, education, and poverty alleviation, using technologies/technology as a key enabler. Their work in improving health care oyitem, enhancinging educational oppurtunities through the technology, and addresing poverty istues has left a lasting impact on communities world wide. 

Google.org of Google, has actively engaged in using Technology to address various global challenges. They have Supported projects related to disaster response, education, and social justice. Google.org hay contributed to the ICT community by funding initiatives that leverage technology for positive societal impact. Their Support for innovative project and collaborations has showcased the. trains formative potential of technology in addressing complex isues.
