Energy Materials & Storage Systems (EMS2) Group

Welcome to the Energy Materials & Storage Systems (EMS2) group in the Institute for Materials Discovery at the University College London.

We are a dedicated research team with strong motivation, focusing on the creation and synthesis of cutting-edge materials for energy storage systems, encompassing both conventional and planar designs. Our work spans a range of technologies, such as Zn-ion batteries, Li-ion batteries, and Metal-ion capacitors, among others. To gain a deeper insight into the charge storage properties and kinetics, we utilize in-situ and operando measurements on advanced energy materials. Additionally, our research extends to the exploration of light-assisted energy storage systems, reflecting our growing interest in this innovative field.
