Artist Bio
Ricky Zachariah, also known as Empress Ki, is a contemporary mixed media artist whose works are deeply inspired by the richness, elegance, and timeless spirit of Burmese culture. Since beginning his artistic journey in 2021, Ricky has developed a distinctive visual language that combines traditional aesthetics with bold textures and experimental materials.
Working at the intersection of pure acrylic painting, clay art on canvas, and bottle art, his creations embrace freedom without limitation. Guided by the philosophy of “no limits, no rules,” Ricky explores every possible medium to transform emotion, heritage, and imagination into dramatic visual experiences. His artworks often celebrate texture, atmosphere, and delicate beauty emerging from powerful artistic expression.
Despite having only five years of artistic experience, Ricky has already presented three solo exhibitions:
Edge of Elegance — at Beik Thano Gallery (4th Solo Exhibition - 23.May.2026 to 1.June.2026)
Cheik — at Eravati Hotel (3rd Solo Exhibition - 29.Dec.2024 to 31.Dec.2024)
Regalia of Burma — at Turquoise Mountain (2nd Solo Exhibition - 2.Dec.2023)
39Arts Creation — at Anawyahta Art Gallery (1st Solo Exhibition- 21.May.2022 to 23. May.2022)
Through each exhibition, Ricky continues to explore new interpretations of Burmese identity, tradition, and elegance in contemporary art. His passion is not only to create visually striking works, but also to touch the hearts of art admirers through sincerity, texture, and emotional depth.
For Ricky Zachariah, art is more than decoration — it is a living expression of culture, memory, and fearless creativity.
Currently I have no gallery yet to show up my art works but built in a tiny workshop at No-587, DawNa Street, 20 Quarter, South Dagon.
Please feel free to visit and touch my art by heart.
