The EmpowHER Girls Soccer Program is a transformative experience designed to empower young female athletes (ages 7-14) both on and off the field. This program offers more than just soccer training—it’s a holistic development opportunity led by an all-female coaching staff dedicated to nurturing confidence, leadership, and athletic skill.

• Will run Thursdays from 5:00-6:00pm

EmpowHER | RISE:
• Aged 11-13 years old:
• Will run Thursdays from 6:00-7:00pm
• Max Capacity: 20 players
EmpowHER | LEAD:
• HS aged girls
• Will run Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm
• Max Capacity: 20 players
Program Highlights:
• Expert All-Female Coaching Staff: Participants will work with a team of experienced female coaches who serve as role models, providing technical soccer training and mentorship.
• Comprehensive Skill Development: Focus on technical and tactical soccer skills, with an emphasis on game understanding and strategic play.
• SAQ Training (Speed, Agility, and Quickness): Targeted drills to enhance athletic performance, improve coordination, and maximize explosiveness on the field.
• Leadership and Confidence Building: Activities designed to strengthen communication, teamwork, and self-assurance in high-pressure situations.
• Yoga and Mental Toughness Training: Sessions incorporating mindfulness techniques and flexibility exercises to promote physical and mental resilience.
• Health & Wellness Education: Workshops covering nutrition, recovery practices, and overall wellness to ensure athletes are equipped with tools for lifelong health.

Karson Boyce is a USSF licensed coach and has been working in the soccer setting for 12 years. She has extensive experience working in the club environment as well as private/small groups and youth camps. Karson pursued a Master of Arts in Psychology from Marshall University and uses this background to emphasize the mental elements of the game. She has obtained over 10 diplomas related to Sports Psychology, LGBT Players Diversity + Inclusion, Team Philosophies + Purpose, and Creating Talent in younger players. Developing and working with players in the younger age groups has been the foundation of her passion since she started her coaching career in 2013. BreaKaway was founded in 2023 and has provided an avenue to work with young female athletes outside of the white lines. “For girls, they enjoy having someone to play for - someone they look up to and someone that allows them and motivates them to imagine the world of opportunity that is available to them. A lot of my former players have aspirations to be coaches themselves someday - but no matter the dream and regardless of the setting, I want to be a resource to these girls and push them to their fullest potential.”
Rylee Baisden is a professional soccer player with over a decade of experience in collegiate, international, and professional settings. A California native, Rylee’s soccer journey began at Pepperdine University (2012–2016) and has taken her around the globe, with highlights including playing in Sweden, Taiwan, France, and Australia. Currently representing Carolina Ascent FC, she has also played for prestigious clubs like Brisbane Roar and North Carolina Courage, gaining extensive experience at the highest levels of competition.
Off the field, Rylee is the founder of Sweat Happy Club, an online fitness community dedicated to making exercise fun and accessible for all. As someone who overcame a significant ACL injury, Rylee is passionate about sharing the resilience and discipline it takes to excel both physically and mentally.
At BreaKaway, Rylee is excited to help young female athletes discover their potential and cultivate a love for the game. Her philosophy centers on fostering growth, building confidence, and encouraging players to dream big—both on and off the field.
