What can I expect to learn from the empowerED training?

Through this training, you will:

✅ Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED);

✅Build confidence in your ability to effectively integrate ESD and GCED into your teaching practice;

✅Gain practical experience in developing a collaborative lesson plan related to ESD and GCED. 

Become familiar with a variety of EdTech tools that can promote engagement and cooperation.

What are the eligibility requirements?

To participate in the training, you should:

✅Be an educator

✅Be able to speak English

✅Be willing to attend synchronous sessions scheduled on Saturdays of September and October

✅Be teaching in the months of September and October 2023

✅Have a reliable Internet connection or be able to access one with the funding available through       the training

✅Be interested in teaching a class cooperatively with another global educator

✅Have a passion for sustainability and global citizenship

Is the program free?

Yes, the program is completely free because we are supported by the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens.

When will the program take place?

The program will take place in September and October, 2023. 


Will the training be synchronous or asynchronous?

There will be pre-training self-paced activities, three asynchronous sessions , and three synchronous sessions which will be scheduled on Saturdays.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the program?

A certificate will be provided to all participants, provided they will attend all the sessions and complete the collaborative teaching project.
