The Empire of Aristios is governed as a sovereign monarchy, led by His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor. While the Crown retains supreme authority, the day-to-day governance of the Empire is delegated to a structured and hierarchical system of Ministries, Imperial Courts, and Councils defined by law.
This system is governed under two core documents:
The Imperial Charter, which proclaims the Empire's sovereignty and founding principles
The Constitution of the Empire, which defines the legal framework and roles of government institutions
The Emperor of Aristios is the supreme authority of the state and the embodiment of its sovereignty. All power flows from the Crown, and all ministries, officials, and laws derive legitimacy through the Emperor’s rule. The Emperor:
Issues Imperial Decrees
Appoints ministers and officials
Oversees national security and diplomacy
Is the symbolic and executive head of the nation
The Council of Ministers consists of the heads of each major department. These Ministers are responsible for enacting policy, administering programs, and overseeing the daily functioning of the government. All ministers are appointed directly by the Emperor.
The Imperial Court of Aristios functions as a judicial body empowered to:
Interpret constitutional articles and imperial law
Resolve disputes between citizens or ministries
Serve as a symbolic check on abuses of process
The Court may be ceremonial, but its rulings, when issued, are binding under the Constitution.
The Imperial Guard and the Bureau of Shadows are the two ceremonial defense and intelligence bodies.
The Imperial Guard defends the state’s institutions and symbolic territory.
The Bureau of Shadows is the internal and digital security agency, preserving peace and secrecy when necessary.
All defense bodies operate under Decree III and are under the command of the Crown.
