I want to play empire earth on my netbook, with win7 pro 32bit, but it crashes. When I start Empire Earth, the videos are played as usual and when the game starts, it crashes. I've tried different compatibility modes and Admin permissions, but nothing worked. Also I installed the latest patches and the Add On (Age of Konquest), but it didn't work. Any Ideas what I could do?

Hi. Im trying to start empire earth 1 from windows 98 lite but any windows image that works is fine. When using ready .img like w95 or w98 lite that boots into windows, then when trying to start installed Empire earth, it gives these errors: MSVCP60.DLL missing or MSVCRT.DLL; if you add them to the game folder then it says msvcrt.dll is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL. The game folder is added on another virtual drive but that is not the problem. Is there anything that can start this game from windows via dosbox? I'm testing it for dosbox turbo later on android, the results of dosbox and turbo are the same when it comes to working or not (if diablo 2 can run on android memory-wise, EE should be ok too but the missing files..?)

^ Are you mad or something? I installed EE and no it doesn't come with these DLL's. How does it work without them on Win10 then? I didn't use some preinstalled files in a folder. You may be right about the part that it's not certain if EE can work ( I have yet to see it from anyone), but I wouldn't be shutting down the opportunity so quickly if other games work. Also you generalize that no windows game can work from dosbox from android when it was proven with diablo 2 and Fallout 2 and others back 3 years ago!! There was video from 2014 with Diablo 1, Diablo 2, the game was a bit laggy but surprisingly worked. With newer phones it could work even better. To say that this is 'just some people to show off' doesnt sound you know much about windows games from dosbox but for EE it's a question.

I tried a fresh win98 SE install and as i read somewhere it gives a lot of errors but starts windows, even tho explorer also crashes, files can be browsed from Run menu. With EE from Gog the setup asks for newer version of windows. With copied folder from the installed EE from gog, it asks for the same DLL files.

Finally some little progress.

Empire Earth is using one of the worst nightmares a graphic programmer could dip into: directdraw 7, with all its intricacies.

Not happy with that, first thing it does is to create a test window sized 16x16 pixels in the upper-left screen corner, and within that area it tries to sample the directdraw capabilities.

Using dxwnd the operations in that area don't satisfy its logic, and this is why it keeps greating multiple test windows while the main screen stays black.

So, the problem now is to find out what goes wrong within this test operation and emulate a positive result. Once understood, I'm sure it will be easy to fix. But so far, it's like searching in the fog.

Hm... seems to be a pretty nasty problem. Interesting though that you can kinda run EE with D3DViewer, but that program is neither developed any further nor it worked pretty well. Most of time it stayed black and froze, but wild clicking actually sometimes had the effect that you can even see the main menu of EE. But still it will freeze relatively soon afterwards, never made it to actually start a game in window mode with it.

I guess you use some different approach to force windows mode, but maybe you'll find things out that've done in D3DViewer and use them in DxWnd.

If this actually works one day, you would help many people that enjoy EE now in the new-recreated lobby again where everybody is just waiting for a way out of full screen mode.

1) the game sometimes loses control of the mouse: it shows the main menu, is responsive to several window commands such as window resize or move, but the texturex cursor is stuck and there's no way to interact with the menu. Sometimes (but not always!) minimizing and restoring fixes the problem.

2) the textured cursor sometimes is not properly cleares as it moves on the screen

3) fake-fullscreen modes seem to be not working

4) when you alt-tab between windows, the game start blitting on the upper-left corner of the screen

I have Empire Earth 1 gold edition which game with the game and dlc disk and i cant play them on my pc because i do not have a cd/dvd burner. how can i play empire earth and dlc on my main computer without a cd/dvd burner? i know of creating an iso for it and using a virtual cd burner type program to make my computer believe that the disc is running? idk can some explain it to me.

Empire Earth is a real-time empire-building strategy video game developed by Stainless Steel Studios published by Sierra On-Line in November 2001. The game has two sequels, Empire Earth II, published in April 2005, and Empire Earth III. The game also has a spin-off named after it, called Empire: Dawn of the Modern World, which has the same developers and genre. In principle, Empire Earth is similar to Age of Empires, with the major difference being that it offers a range of ages ranging from prehistoric ages to technological ages of the future.

Scarface: The World Is Yours will plunge players deep into the seedy underbelly of 1980s Miami as the one-and-only Tony Montana. Players are challenged to re-enact the climactic mansion shoot-out from the original film, but in the game Tony survives. As Tony, they must then rebuild his fallen empire and seize vengeance on his enemies. The game features Hollywood film-caliber production values including an unprecedented Hollywood ensemble cast, a script penned by renowned script writer David McKenna (American History X, Blow), industry-leading sound effects provided by Skywalker Sound and an enormous lineup of music from the 80s and current artists.

This CD is one of a series of a dozen similar programs thatattempt to teach history by use of quotations from the literature of the timeand place. By combining these excerpts with maps (some of them animated),still photos and an extensive narration, the program tries to give an overallsense of what the time and place were like. In addition, the CD tries to putthe topic into a broader perspective. In this example, the world of the RomanEmpire is contrasted to the contemporary empires of the Qin and Han in Chinaand the Mauryan Empire of Ashoka in India. e24fc04721
