Electronics, Mechatronics and Photonics Applications & Systems Laboratory
EMPhASys is a multidisciplinary research laboratory of faculty members and researchers within the Department of Information Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications (DIET) at Sapienza University of Rome, where systems and applications in the fields of Electronics, Mechatronics and Photonics are developed.
The research activities of EMPhASys are carried out across several DIET laboratories and through a network of collaborations with laboratories at other universities, research institutions and companies, aimed at developing systems and applications for scientific research, technology transfer to industry, innovation and digital transformation.

The research activities of EMPhASys involve Bachelor's and Master's students from the Faculties of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics (I3S) and Civil and Industrial Engineering (ICI) at Sapienza University of Rome, including the Rieti Campus, as well as Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers and research fellows.
