Educator, Instructional Designer, Conductor, Singer
I am on the faculty at Minneapolis College, where I direct the Minneapolis College Choir, teach a variety of music courses and serve as a campus-wide faculty trainer in eLearning for our Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).
Loving teaching as much as I love singing, I have been active as an educator, clinician, conductor and singer throughout most of my career. Much of my professional singing has been that of a choral singer, and as such I have sung and recorded with the Dale Warland Singers, the Oregon Bach Festival (including the 2000 Grammy™ award winning recording of Krzystof Penderecki's Credo), the Ensemble Singers of VocalEssence (formerly the Plymouth Music Series), the Robert Shaw Festival Chorus and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Chorale. I am currently a contracted singer with the Minnesota Chorale.
I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts and Masters in Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota, a Masters in Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, a Bachelor of Arts from Viterbo University and a graduate certificate in Instructional Technology and Design from Mankato State University.
While a good deal of my professional work is centered on what many call "classical music", I am passionate about the music of composers from the 20th century on with a special love for Bossa Nova. And when I come home, I listen to everyone from Lena Chamamayan to Rhiannon Giddens.

This is a brief clip of the Minneapolis College Choir rehearsal with Cantus, immediately prior to a performance. We were honored to have the opportunity to sing with them. Antonello Hall, April 7, 2016
This is one of my favorite performances with the Minnesota Chorale. It was a partnership with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange and the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Center in Golden Valley. The premise behind the partnership was that everyone can dance, and singers shared the stage with performers signing in American Sign Language, and dancers of all shapes, sizes and abilities choreographed with canes, walkers and wheelchairs for those who needed assistive devices. The music you will hear is Paradise, arranged by Malcolm Dalglish, and Always Singing by Dale Warland.
Since there was no chance to perform live during the worst of the pandemic, I took part in Eric Whitacre's virtual choir, Virtual Choir 6 - Sing Gently. I joined a choir made up of 17,572 singers from all over the globe. And no, I can't find my picture, but you'll see my name in the credits.
Here are some audio clips of solo and choral work that I have done. Click on the titles to hear the selections.
Rossignolet des Bois performed in November 2001 with guitarist Jocko MacNelly. This piece was arranged by Matyas Seiber.
