What is this all about?

Maybe it's about a foolish dream. It all began in 1995 when I saw the movie Ghost in the Shell. At that moment I knew what I wanted to accomplish in my life. Soon after this remarkable moment, came to me Antonio Damasio's books on mind, brain, and emotion, all together and mixed.

I went to college and majored in Computing where I spent most of the time of my exact sciences classes developing this architecture. Yes, I did "calculus 1" x 5 times, "Calculus 2" x 3 times, and "Algebra 1" x 3 times. The more boring the class, the more creativity emerges, hehe (or I'm really dumb).

In the middle of college, I started to work for the government with bureaucratic work. Then, after graduation, started another bureaucratic work for the government, and then another, and then I married... So the dream seemed more and more distant, and the time getting shorter and shorter, home and work responsibilities, etc, etc... Then, 10 years passed like a flash.

So I decided to stop regretting myself and start doing what I could, no matter how small that could mean.

I will finally translate my undergraduate thesis, put it here, and start to build a robot pet to keep Luna company.

I started with the idea of the Robot Dog after, in general, I saw that nowadays (from 2012 to even today 2021) the biggest problem is that robots look like versions from the 80s. What about a robot that can be soft, light, and undistinguished from an actual living being? So I started thinking about ways to solve these problems on my own. Sensors, actuators, etc.

So I'm here. With very little time available, with few resources to dedicate to the topic, and having to face everything like a hobby. Maybe I'm a guy with a very innocent mind, but I prefer to think like that.
