Privacy Policy for EmojiSwitcherPRO

App Package: com.mrerror.emojiswitcherpro
This Privacy Policy explains how EmojiSwitcherPRO ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. EmojiSwitcherPRO is a utility app that lets users change their phone's emoji font/style (e.g. iOS-style, WhatsApp-style, Google-style) without rooting the device, by detecting the phone manufacturer and guiding the user through a manufacturer-specific, non-root install wizard.
1. No User Accounts
The App does not require or offer any sign-up, login, or authentication. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or password at any time.
2. Information We Collect and Why
The App's own code sends the following information to our backend (Firebase Firestore, operated by Google Cloud):
- Device model, device manufacturer, and Android OS version (e.g. "Samsung", "Galaxy S23", "Android 14") — used to determine which install method/wizard to show and to troubleshoot compatibility.
- The emoji font the user installed and its category — used to track which fonts are used and to improve font offerings.
- A yes/no "did it work" survey response after installation, tied to device manufacturer and font name — used to measure install success rates per device type and improve reliability.
- Aggregate install counts and success-rate counts. This data is not tied to any personal identifier, user ID, account, or name.
We use this information solely to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App's core font-installation feature. We do not sell this data.
3. Third-Party Services and SDKs
The App integrates the following third-party services, all operated by Google:
- Firebase Analytics: logs app usage events (such as font installed, survey answered) together with device model, manufacturer, and OS version as event parameters, to help us understand app usage.
- Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob): displays banner, interstitial, native, and app-open ads. AdMob collects the Android Advertising ID and other device identifiers for ad delivery, personalization, and measurement purposes, and this data is shared with Google. You can review Google's practices at their privacy policy and manage ad personalization through your device's ad settings.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): shows a consent form to users located in the EEA/UK before any ads or personalization-related data use, in compliance with Google's own consent requirements. Your choices in this consent form determine how AdMob personalizes ads for you.
- Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud): stores the install/survey data described in Section 2.
Font files themselves are downloaded from a public GitHub-hosted CDN and Google Drive links and cached locally on your device; these downloads do not include any personal information about you.
The App also contains outbound links to an external Telegram support channel and a YouTube video guide. These are third-party services outside our control, and following these links is subject to their own respective privacy policies.
4. Permissions the App Requests
- INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to download font files and communicate with our backend.
- REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES — to allow uninstalling a previously installed font package.
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (legacy, only requested on Android 10 and below) and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — to cache and manage font files locally.
- Storage Access Framework (SAF) — used to request one-time, user-granted access to a specific folder belonging to another app (for example, a vivo/Tecno theme app's data folder), solely to place a font file into that single folder. This access is scoped only to the folder you select and does not grant broad access to your device's files.
5. What the App Does Not Do
The App does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos/gallery, calendar, SMS/messages, precise location, or health data. We do not sell any data. There is no social login and no in-app chat/messaging feature.
6. Data Retention
Aggregate install/success-rate data and survey responses are retained for as long as needed to support app analytics, reliability improvements, and product decisions. Because this data is not linked to any personal identifier, it cannot be individually retrieved or deleted by reference to a specific person; however, see Section 7 for how to contact us with questions.
7. Your Rights (Access and Deletion Requests)
Because the App does not collect personally identifying information (no accounts, names, emails, or user IDs tied to install data), we generally cannot identify or isolate an individual user's data within our own backend records. If you have questions about the data described in this policy, or believe device-linked advertising data (such as your Android Advertising ID, collected by Google/AdMob) should be reset or limited, you may:
- Reset or delete your Android Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device's Google Settings > Ads.
- Contact us at Support@podzi.app with any privacy questions or requests, and we will respond and assist to the extent technically feasible.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights, such as the right to request information about data processing, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
8. EEA/UK Consent (Google UMP)
For users located in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the App displays a consent form via the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any advertising or personalization-related data is used by AdMob. This form lets you choose whether to allow personalized advertising, in accordance with Google's EU consent policy. You can change your consent choices by reopening the consent form within the App, where available, or through your device's privacy/ad settings.
9. Children's Privacy
EmojiSwitcherPRO is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with information through the App, please contact us at Support@podzi.app so we can address it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
