This Privacy Policy explains how EmojiDock: Floating Emoji Panel (“EmojiDock”, “the App”) accesses, uses, processes, stores, and shares information.
The App is developed by Krepel Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
EmojiDock provides quick access to user-selected emoji through a floating panel displayed over supported applications. Users can browse an emoji catalog, create a personal panel collection, add emoji to favorites, and insert emoji into accessible text fields.
Core operations involving emoji collections and App preferences take place locally on your device. Integrated advertising, consent management, and purchasing services may process information over the internet as described in this Privacy Policy.
EmojiDock does not require you to create a Krepel Studio account.
This Privacy Policy describes our information handling practices. It does not replace any separate disclosure or consent required for a particular type of access or processing.
To provide its functionality and remember your preferences, EmojiDock may store the following information locally:
Emoji added to your favorites.
Emoji added to your floating panel and their display order.
Your panel activation sequence.
Panel size and appearance preferences.
Your Auto-send setting.
Preferences related to supported applications.
Your selected language and theme.
Your onboarding completion status.
Information needed to determine your Pro access status.
This information is used to operate the features you choose and restore your preferences when you reopen the App.
Krepel Studio does not maintain copies of your emoji collections, panel preferences, or text from other applications on its own servers.
Integrated SDKs may separately store operational information, including advertising consent preferences and information required to manage purchases.
EmojiDock uses the Android Accessibility Service to provide its core floating-panel functionality.
After you grant access, the service is used to:
Identify the active text field in a supported application.
Recognize your configured panel activation sequence.
Obtain information needed to position and operate the floating panel.
Insert an emoji you select.
Perform a send action when you have separately enabled Auto-send.
To perform these functions, EmojiDock may process the contents of an active text field, text-change events, cursor or selection positions, information about the active application, and interface elements made available through Accessibility.
The technical capabilities of an Accessibility Service may provide access to information within the active window beyond the characters used to activate the panel. The information available depends on what Android and the relevant application expose to the service.
EmojiDock uses this access to perform functions you have configured or directly requested, including recognizing the activation sequence, opening the panel, inserting emoji, and performing a send action when Auto-send is enabled.
Text and interface information used for these functions are processed locally on your device.
We do not transmit text field contents, conversations, or interface structures obtained through Accessibility to Krepel Studio servers, Google AdMob, or advertising partners. This information is not used for advertising profiling.
EmojiDock does not create a conversation history or a log of everything you type.
When enabled, the Accessibility Service may operate while you use other supported applications, even when the main EmojiDock screen is not open.
This operation is necessary to recognize the activation sequence and provide the floating panel.
The service is not activated without your involvement. You enable it yourself in Android’s system settings after reviewing the explanation of the requested access.
You can disable the service at any time in Android’s Accessibility settings. Features that depend on Accessibility will become unavailable after the service is disabled.
EmojiDock uses Android’s “Display over other apps” special access, associated with the SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW permission, to display its floating emoji panel.
This access is used to show the panel and its controls over a supported application.
Display-over-other-apps access and Accessibility access are separate forms of access.
The display-over-other-apps permission itself is not used to read text fields. Interaction with text is handled through the Accessibility functionality described in Section 3.
You can revoke this access in Android’s system settings. After you revoke it, the corresponding floating-panel functionality may become unavailable.
By default, the floating panel is activated using ,,, consisting of two commas.
You can configure a custom sequence containing two user-visible characters. Your chosen sequence is stored locally as an App preference.
EmojiDock processes relevant text changes through Accessibility to recognize this sequence.
When you select an emoji from the floating panel, EmojiDock attempts to insert it into the active text field of a supported application.
Once inserted, the content becomes available to that application. Its subsequent storage, processing, and transmission are governed by the policies of the relevant application or service.
Auto-send is disabled by default.
When Auto-send is disabled, selecting an emoji is intended to insert it without automatically sending a message.
When you enable Auto-send, selecting an emoji initiates insertion followed by a send action through the supported interface of the other application.
If the text field already contains text, the send action may send the entire current message together with the inserted emoji, not just the emoji.
You can disable Auto-send in EmojiDock’s settings.
To determine compatibility and apply your preferences, EmojiDock may process information that Android makes available about relevant applications.
This may include an application’s name, package identifier, and information about available text-input and send controls.
This information is used locally to operate the Supported Apps section, identify the active application, and perform floating-panel functions.
EmojiDock does not use information obtained through these functions to build an advertising profile of your activity in other applications.
EmojiDock supports local backup and restore when you choose to use these features.
A backup file may contain your emoji collections, favorites, panel order, and settings supported by the export feature.
Android’s system file-selection mechanisms are used to save or open backup files. Access is provided to the file or storage location you select.
Krepel Studio does not automatically receive the backup files you create.
If you select a cloud storage provider through the system file picker or independently share a backup with another service, that service’s policies govern its subsequent handling of the file.
EmojiDock does not provide a separate built-in Google Backup feature or an account for cloud synchronization.
Android’s system-level backup and device-transfer mechanisms are separate. Their behavior depends on the App’s configuration, Android version, and device.
Store backup files in a secure location and do not share them with people you do not trust.
Exported backup files may remain in your chosen storage location after you uninstall EmojiDock and may need to be deleted separately.
The free version of EmojiDock uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements.
When advertising services operate, the SDK may automatically collect and transmit information to Google in the following categories:
IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location.
Device and application identifiers, including the Android advertising ID, App Set ID, and other applicable identifiers.
Application and advertising interaction information, such as App launches, advertisement impressions, taps, and video advertisement views.
Diagnostic information related to the operation of the App and the advertising SDK.
Google may use this information to provide advertising services, perform analytics, measure advertising performance, and prevent fraud.
The specific processing depends on the SDK version, its configuration, the availability of identifiers, your privacy preferences, and applicable requirements.
Approximate location inferred from an IP address is not the same as precise GPS coordinates.
Text accessible to EmojiDock through Accessibility is not provided to advertising services for targeting or personalized advertising.
Google processes information it receives according to its own Privacy Policy and policies governing data from applications that integrate its services.
EmojiDock uses the Google User Messaging Platform, UMP, to display privacy messages and manage relevant user choices.
Where consent is required, the App requests it before the corresponding processing of information for advertising. The choices available depend on your region and applicable requirements.
Where provided by the consent management mechanism, you can reopen the App’s advertising privacy options to review, change, or withdraw your consent.
Information about advertising partners and the relevant processing purposes is provided in the applicable advertising consent interface.
Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily mean that no information will be processed.
Non-personalized advertising may still use certain information to deliver advertisements, limit their frequency, produce reports, and prevent fraud.
Additional controls for the advertising identifier may be available in Android’s settings.
EmojiDock offers an optional one-time Lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play Billing.
The App does not use a subscription model.
To provide, verify, and restore purchased access, the App may process purchase-related information, including:
Product identifier.
Purchase status.
Purchase token.
Purchase time.
Available order information.
This information is used to manage Pro access, restore purchases, and resolve related support requests.
Payment details are entered and processed within Google Play’s payment environment.
EmojiDock does not receive your full payment card number or card security code.
Google’s processing of payments and related information is governed by the applicable Google policies.
The specific Pro features, current price, and purchase conditions are displayed in the App before you purchase.
If you contact us by email, we receive your sender email address, the contents of your message, and any materials you choose to include.
These materials may include a description of a problem, your device model, Android version, App version, screenshots, or purchase-related information.
We use this information to respond to you, investigate problems, provide support, and handle privacy requests.
Do not send passwords, complete payment details, or unrelated private conversations.
Before sending screenshots, remove personal information that is not necessary to explain the issue.
Support correspondence is processed through our email account and its service provider.
Information may be shared with third-party services as part of the functions described in this Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob and related advertising services: To display advertisements and perform related information processing.
Google UMP: To manage privacy messages and relevant user choices.
Google Play: To process purchases and determine purchased access.
Our email service provider: To receive and process support communications.
You may also independently disclose information to another application or service by inserting emoji, sending a message, exporting a backup, or contacting support.
We may disclose information actually in our possession when required by applicable law or a lawful request from a competent authority.
We do not sell text field contents, conversations, emoji collections, or users’ backup files.
Google and its service providers may process information on servers outside your country of residence. The relevant services’ policies describe the conditions and safeguards applicable to international processing.
Local preferences and emoji collections are retained until you change or delete them, clear the App’s data through Android, or uninstall the App.
Copies created through system-level backup or device-transfer mechanisms, where applicable, are managed separately.
Text is used for the current operation of floating-panel functions and is not retained as a conversation history.
Exported backups remain in your chosen storage location until you delete them separately.
Clearing EmojiDock’s data does not delete copies that you have saved or shared outside the App’s internal storage.
Support correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to address your request and related matters.
Further retention may be necessary to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Google and other service providers determine their own retention periods and available deletion mechanisms for information they process.
Uninstalling EmojiDock does not automatically delete information that Google retains about advertising or purchases.
Because EmojiDock does not create a Krepel Studio account, there is no separate App account to delete.
For information that you have provided directly to us, you can contact us using the email address listed in this Privacy Policy.
Local information is handled using the storage and access-control mechanisms available to the App through Android.
Accessibility access and display-over-other-apps access depend on separate system settings controlled by the user.
According to Google’s documentation, information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is protected in transit using TLS.
The security of exported backup files also depends on the storage location you choose, its settings, and access by other people.
No method of storing or transmitting information can guarantee absolute security.
We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock, installing security updates, and keeping backup files in a secure location.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, the relevant basis depends on the purpose of the processing and may include:
Providing functionality and purchased access that you request.
Your consent, where required.
Compliance with legal obligations.
Legitimate interests in providing support and protecting legal rights, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to receive information about the processing of your personal data and to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or data portability. You may also have the right to object to certain processing.
You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
The availability of particular rights depends on the circumstances, the information involved, and the legal basis for processing.
To exercise rights regarding information under our control, contact:
Krepelstudio@gmail.com
We will address your request within the time limits required by applicable law.
We do not have remote access to your local emoji collections or backup files unless you independently provide them to us.
Information that Google or another provider processes under its own control may be subject to that provider’s separate procedures for exercising privacy rights.
EmojiDock does not provide child profiles or Krepel Studio accounts.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us in violation of applicable requirements, please contact us.
We will review the request and take appropriate action regarding information under our control, including deletion where required.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in functionality, integrated services, information handling practices, or legal requirements.
The current version is published on this page. The date of the latest update appears at the beginning of the document.
Where changes require additional notice or renewed consent, we will provide the relevant notice or request consent before applying those changes.
