Emoji Anywhere Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Emoji Anywhere Chrome extension handles data.

Local emoji choices and settings

Emoji Anywhere stores favorite emoji IDs, recently inserted or copied emoji

IDs, and preferences such as the recent history limit and catalogue mode in

Chrome's local extension storage. These choices remain in this browser profile.

They are not synced to another device or sent to the creator.

Writing field text and selection

When you open the extension, it temporarily accesses the active webpage to

find your writing field and cursor position. The insertion function uses a

reference to the field, its current text where needed, and the selected range

in page memory. This text can include a draft comment, email, or message.

It is used to insert the emoji you choose and avoid insertion at a stale cursor

position. Writing field text is not saved in extension storage or transmitted

by the extension to the creator or other services.

The extension does not insert into password fields. It does not keep a list

of websites you visit or log general browsing clicks or keystrokes.

Clipboard

When you choose to copy an emoji, the extension writes that selected emoji to

your clipboard. It does not read existing clipboard contents.

Optional support payments

When you choose a support amount, the extension uses that amount to create a

PayPal.Me link and opens it in a new tab. The chosen amount and USD currency

are included in the link sent to PayPal. The extension does not retain a

payment history or receive your payment credentials or transaction status.

You review the recipient and amount and confirm any payment on PayPal.

PayPal handles your account and payment data under its own privacy policy.

Network and sharing

The emoji catalogue, search, scripts, and styles are bundled locally. Emoji

features work offline. There are no extension accounts, advertisements,

analytics, tracking services, or background network requests. Page text and

saved emoji choices are not shared by the extension. The optional PayPal link

works as described above.

Limited Use

Emoji Anywhere follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its

Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the features described

in this policy. The creator does not sell user data, use it for unrelated

purposes, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Retention and your controls

Saved emoji choices and preferences remain locally until you change or remove

them or uninstall the extension. Writing field snapshots exist only in page

memory and are not kept as permanent extension records.

In Settings, you can remove favorites, clear recent emoji history, and set the

recent history limit to 0. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage.

Policy changes

If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store

disclosures will be updated to reflect those changes.
