ELECTROCHEMISTRY MEETS NANOSCIENCE
(EMN-2021)
November 11-12, 2021
ABOUT EMN
The aim of this workshop on “Electrochemistry Meets Nanoscience (EMN-2021)” is to familiarize young researchers/students with the advances of theoretical and experimental electrochemical technologies for applications in energy conversion and storage, expanding from lab scale to prototyping. The importance of nanoscale in the emerging field of alternative energy is paramount, especially involving electrochemical transport processes. When we reduce the length scale to the nanometer range, new phenomena of materials emerge, which in many cases challenge the pre-existing knowledge. As physicist Richard Feynman, in his seminal talk in the year 1959, said “There’s Plenty of Room at the Bottom” in the context of nanoscience, we have much to learn."
THE SCOPE OF THIS WORKSHOP SPANS ACROSS:
Emerging fields of electrochemical energy conversion and storage
From lab to a device: proof-of-concept to considerable TRL
Characterizing nanomaterials for electrochemical transport
Sustainability, electrochemistry, and nanotechnology
