Emmy J. grew up in the Bethesda Maryland before hopping off the plane at LAX to attend the University of Southern California with a B.A in Theater and a minor in Musical Theatre. Now based in NYC, she is also a graduate of the Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester.

Most recently, Emmy was in the ensemble of MEAN GIRLS the musical at The La Mirada Theatre, and had the joy of experiencing her understudy principal debut as Karen Smith. Other recent credites include swinging as well as the assistant choreographing Olney Theatre Center's production of Hello Dolly! and swinging McCoy Rigby’s production of Legally Blonde, which premiered at The La Mirada Theatre in Los Angeles and The Ordway Theatre in St. Paul Minnesota. She covered 8 tracks in Legally Blonde, and had the privilege of debuting 5/8 tracks, which consisted of 14 different characters! Working as a swing was an incredibly rewarding experience and has been such an informative, challenging, and fulfilling part of her career.
Other productions include Annie (Lily St. Regis) Body of Faith (Ensemble) by Luis Alfaro, and Dog Sees God (Marcy). She had the opportunity to be the Dance Captain for Into the Woods, (choreographed by Kate Dunn) and Urinetown, (choreographed by Dana Solimando) during her time at USC.
