In case you haven't heard, there's something dark in the water. Just like the lbd (little black dress) is a must-have item in your closet, some claim blk. water (or rather, black water) should be a staple in your fridge.

But we're not going to sugarcoat it: Not only is this stuff very dark (think stale coffee or flat Pepsi), experts argue that it's more of a gimmick than a godsend. The packaging and minimalist design are very hip and the black color certainly draws attention, but is it really better than plain old water?

Every nominated show has its own kind of hype, though a couple can likely be ruled out as real contenders. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel already had its day in the Sun at the Emmys when it won seven, including two Creative Arts Emmys, in 2018. Then there's Curb Your Enthusiasm, the perennial bridesmaid of the Emmys. Nominated for every season, but unlike Susan Lucci before it, Curb is unlikely to take home the big prize, especially considering the more buzzy shows in the nominations line-up. That still leaves six real contenders for the trophy.

_The Code_, which looks at the hype and hope surrounding the human genome, has been named a finalist in the best series category for the 2018 SMASH Jackson Hole Science Media Awards. You can watch _The Code_ [here]( -code/ The Code ). 2351a5e196
