Emmet is a Los Angeles based writer, photographer, graphic designer, and full time graduate student. Currently attending Cal State Los Angeles for an MBA with a focus on management, he has his eyes set on creating a future where art, creativity, and technology work simultaneously with a focus on people, not just productivity. He graduated from UC San Diego in 2023 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Speculative Design – an interdisciplinary major that incorporates visual arts and design principles with various aspects of STEM research, computer science, and emerging technological developments.  

Emmet has a long list of career experience that has helped his communication with diverse groups of people and helped him gain a wide range of professional experience. Currently, he is both a full time student in addition to working as a retail and IT docent at Dataland: a computer arts and data-visualization museum. It is a cutting edge technological display of how machines and humans can collaborate within a creative setting. During his undergraduate studies Emmet worked as a fashion, product, and sport photographer before becoming an assistant manager at a luxury salon. He won the 2023 UCSD Speculative Fiction writing award for his short story, Noah’s Ark. Before he knew how to write on his own, Emmet would dictate stories to his parents and illustrate them later. After graduating from UCSD, he was the program coordinator and lead coach at NDTech, an internship designed to give hands-on work experience in the tech and gaming industry for neurodiverse and disabled young adults through the creation of educational, research-based video games. 

Emmet enjoys cross-stitch and other fiber arts in addition to his love of technology. He also collects analog media including vinyl, CDs, DVD, VHSs, and books. He has an 8 year old Norwegian forest cat who loves hijinks, treats, and her daily brushes.
