HOW TO REACH UPPSALA FROM ARLANDA
Swedish "kronor" (SEK) is the national currency in Sweden and Euros are not accepted. 10 Eur is about 95 SEK. You can (and actually need to) pay with a credit card for a bus or train ticket from the airport to Uppsala. The taxis take both credit cards and cash.
- At Arlanda Visitor's Centre at Terminal 5, or at other information desks at Terminals 2 and 4
- Self-service ticket machines are available at the stops at Terminals 2, 4 and 5
- SMS ticket
- Payment by credit or debit card on board the coach; cash is not accepted.
TRAVEL WITHIN UPPSALA
Buses are the main mode of public transport within Uppsala (after bicycles, of course). Tickets can be bought on the buses by credit or debit card only; cash is not accepted. The closest bus stop to the Ångström Laboratory is called "Polacksbacken".
The following buses all go from the Train/bus station to the Ångström lab:
Bus 1 towards "Ultuna"
Bus 12 towards "Gottsunda via Ultuna"
Bus 20 towards "Graneberg"
The following buses can be used to go from the Train/bus station to Hotel von Kraemer (or very near the hotel):
Bus 3 towards "Östra Gottsunda"
Bus 11 towards "Gottsunda via Vårdsätra"
Bus 20 towards "Graneberg"

BY FOOT WITHIN UPPSALA
By foot it takes maximum 15 min from Hotel von Kraemer to the Ångström laboratory. (You can also take the bus of course, like no. 20; see above).
