A dedicated scholar, Emma has been recognized on the Vanderbilt University Dean’s List and was the Valedictorian of Legion Collegiate Academy with a stellar 5.45 GPA. She has also been honored as a US Presidential Scholar Nominee and a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist.
Emma’s commitment to excellence extends beyond academics. At Vanderbilt, she serves as a Resident Advisor and is actively involved in leadership roles such as the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Ronald McDonald House Teen Board. She has been a proactive member of various service organizations, including the Key Club and the Beta Club, which reflect her passion for community service.
Emma has found incredible guidance through mentorship, profoundly shaping who she is and forming the cornerstone of the legacy she wishes to leave. Recognizing the transformative power of mentorship, she is passionate about instilling empathy and compassion in students from a young age. Emma believes that fostering healthy relationships between students and their peers allows them to form meaningful bonds and grow as individuals, gaining an understanding of how their actions affect those around them. Her plan involves collaborating with schools and districts to establish mentorship programs that utilize local colleges and high schools, bridging the gaps many communities face due to a lack of mentors. Such programs not only enhance academic performance but also provide students with invaluable support and guidance, helping them navigate challenges and thrive both in and out of the classroom. Emma is dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and mutual respect, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow.
