The Daniel Fast is a widely recognized spiritual and physical experience developed from the biblical book of Daniel. It is a 21-day custom, in which the adherents are to partake of only fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, as well as water. The reason is to clean out the body and, at the same time, devote some time for prayer and meditation.
As Emmanuel Church Okahao, we have agreed to have the fast for 12 Day's in this month of January. Some day's have already gone by and we are only remaining with a few days. But regardless of that fact, we have made available a devotions page whereby we will be sharing some messages to encourage you. These messages can also guide you in a way of meditation if you fell lost during these days.

Todays Devotion
Scripture:
Devotion for Today: Faith
Faith is portrayed as a strong trust in our hope and a firm belief in the unseen. This is the reason for a Christian's devotion to God, which is achieved through absolute confidence in His promises, even though they are hidden. The passage suggests that the faith of the first followers of God was both known and treasured by God. The real-life experiences they had were amazing and worked as an example of the kind of faith that is both important and strong.
By faith, believers are aware that the universe was created through the Word of God. This implies that that which can be seen comes from the unseen, which shows God's power and creativity.Abel's offering was said to be higher than Cain's because he offered it in faith. It was his faith that justified him in the eyes of God and the tradition of his life still glows to all those who come after him.
Enoch's faith earned him so much commendation from God that he was taken to heaven without going through death. Enoch's life is a proof of faith that is well satisfying to God.This passage underscores the role of faith in pleasing God. To stand in front of God, one needs to be fully aware that He is there and that He is good to those who have honestly sought Him.
Application
Personal Trust in God's Promises:
Just as the ancients did long time ago, the present-day believers are also able to keep God’s promises in view, regardless of difficult situations or unclear outcomes. This trust is their way of looking at things very differently, and in this way they are able to be courageous and forward-looking in adversity.
Faith as a Foundation of Actions:
Abel's example clearly shows that a person's actions must always be rooted in faith and devotion to God. They can then question themselves whether they are going to do the right thing, and moreover, are their actions backed by faith or is it just a habit for them.
Seeking a Relationship with God:
Enoch’s example is the one that lets the followers know how to gain a deep and unbroken communion with the Most High. Five years has elapsed since the seeker has tried to do that by prayer and receiving answers, being shown the words of the Scripture and God's will, and attempting to do everything in life for God.
Understanding God’s Creation:
The believers become more relaxed and more purposeful when they realize that both the universe and their lives are the main parts of the great project of God. This realization of the world strengthens their faith, loving their God’s miracles even more, and they become more responsible in preserving the earth.
Incorporating Faith in Daily Life:
Real faith is not just a special faculty that operates exclusively in spiritual and religious frames of reference, but it has a multifaceted impact on every aspect of believer's life. Relying on God for daily decisions, challenges in life, and developing love and trust relationships among people one can not see, with the surety that the sincerity in seeking Him is a guarantee that He will reward, are the key components of the faith in the life of a lordship believer.
Prayer Points:
Ask for a developing faith in God's promises, despite any challenges you may face, which is strong and reliable.
Request the Lord for the Holy Spirit to make your believe more convinced in the truths that are invisible.
Call for a closer relationship with God in a more personalized way similar to Enoch's, and the desire to lead a life that pleases Him.
Pray for the grace to maintain this link through regular readings of the Bible, having your personal time for prayer, and obeying Him.
