Zachary Kerr and others analyzed the occurrence of concussions from 20 high school sports in the US during 2013-2014 and 2017-2018; the study found that of the total 9,542 concussions, 4,183 occurred during football practices and competitions; football also had the highest concussion rate out of all sports.
Statement of Purpose
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of our project is to develop something that can reduce the occurrence of concussions in football. Since concussions occurring in football are difficult to solve; we want to provide a push for prevention and reduction.

My name is Emmanuel Maxwell. I am a senior at John L. Chapin High School and have participated in Orchestra, Academic Decathalon, Marachi, and general student council. I plan to attend UTEP, and major in metallurgical, materials, and biomedical engineering with a focus on biomed.
