Emmanuel Adu Poku is a versatile filmmaker based in New York. He had his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Film at The City College of New York (CUNY). Emmanuel born in Ghana, his initial film studies took place at the Ghana Institute of Journalism-Accra. He was the Executive Chair for the Graduate Student Council (GSC) of The City College of New York. His production company, Emeric Productions LLC, develops and produces compelling stories that deal with issues of human rights and social justice especially in Africa. He wrote, directed and edited short fiction/documentary films, Alexa, The Wedding, Sudden Inclination, Robo, to name but few. He is currently working on the extended version of his thesis film “Witch Hunt” which has been screened internationally.
