Hi! I'm Emma, an aspiring musician who recently found a passion for photographing live shows. My photos include a unique mix of clean, professional shots with a fun D-I-Y style. I always say it's not about what camera you shoot on; it's about who's behind it.
I take photos and write for local bands in the Houston scene, as well as bands I'm a huge fan of. I love reviewing new albums and live shows as well. My favorite genres are post-hardcore, metalcore, pop-punk, and deathcore. I'm always open to anything, though. I love meeting other people who have a passion for music, and I can't wait to continue branching out!
If I'm not in the pit, I'm volunteering at my local animal shelter, reading, crafting in my room, or taking a nap. All while listening to music, of course.
I have always been very passionate about reading since my childhood. I love all forms of writing, whether it's storytelling or nonfiction. When I realized I could include music in my writing, I was sold. Writing about new music and live shows is definitely my favorite part of being a journalist, and I've learned so much over these last few months. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to share my words with others who share the same passion I do.
I started concert photography in December of 2024. I've always had an interest in all forms of photography since I was younger. My dad was a manager at Fox Sports and was later an audio-visual production teacher. I have always admired his work and others'; it's amazing how talented people can bring a moment to life with a photo. As a musician myself, I always want to help smaller artists (like myself) branch out and let bigger artists help me, and concert photography sounds like the best way to do that. I'm looking to learn as much as I can and gain experience and connections while helping others through a shared interest.
