I have a strong commitment to sharing my knowledge, which is why I am deeply involved in outreach activities. In addition, I am actively engaged in reducing inequalities and promoting diversity and inclusion in academic environments. To this end, I have taken part in many public lectures worldwide, as well as in education and outreach programs to promote the participation of women and underrepresented groups in science. Here is a non exclusive list of outreach events that I have undertaken:
2026 - Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI, Tokyo): Annual public lecture FY2025 (Topic: MMX mission)
2025 "Space Cafe" (Tokyo): Public lecture (Topic: MMX mission)
2022 Astro’ Tour (French Guiana): Partnership between the local education authorities, CNES, Canopée des Sciences, Paris Observatory, and Guyane Astronomie. A week of activities in schools, conferences, and astronomical observations to promote science, diversity, and inclusion.
2021-2024 School Mentoring Program (France): Science outreach in primary and secondary schools
As a woman working in a largely male-dominated field, I am deeply committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic environments and beyond. In this context, I led outreach activities in middle schools to engage young students in discussions on gender and racial inequalities in science. Recently, I had the honor of representing the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) at the annual public lecture event at the Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) in Tokyo. I discussed international study and career opportunities with female students and how to pursue engineering or academic careers in the space sector.
2023 Women in Science: Outreach lecture at Valmy Middle School (Paris). History of women in science, evolution of women’s roles over time, and discussion of inequalities and racism.
2022 Women PhD students in Science: Exchange, mentoring, and support program for female researchers at PSL University.
