About Me

My name is Emma and my pronouns are she, her, hers. I am a new grad registered Occupational Therapist, graduating with a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. I was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois. I am an artist, a loving family member, an advocate, a leader, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Being an occupational therapist is my passion because I love problem solving, being creative, and I think everyone deserves to live their best lives. I am currently the Administrative Co-Chair of the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) Chapters Committee.

More About Me

Here's an intro to more about me, in [imperfect] American Sign Language (ASL). In my second year of OT school, I took a course to learn the basics of conversational ASL!

What is OT

OT stands for Occupational Therapy, so I am an Occupational Therapist. What do you do as an Occupational Therapist you ask? Watch this fun and simple video I created to begin to help people understand what OT is and why I love it so much.
