By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Important: LoveUpp is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult your doctor for any questions about your health.
1. Information We Collect
When you use LoveUpp, we may collect the following information:

When you register with email and password, we collect:
First name
Last name
Email address
Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form)
1.2 Heart Rate and App Usage Data
To provide the core functionality of the App (sharing your heart rate with your friends), we may collect:
Heart rate values and related measurements you choose to share in the App
Information about which friends you share your data with
Basic usage information such as when you send or receive heart rate data
1.3 Notification and Device Information
To send you push notifications (for example, when a friend shares their heart rate with you), we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
For this purpose, we may collect:
Device identifiers needed to send push notifications (such as FCM token)
Basic technical information about your device and app version
We do not use this information for advertising.
1.4 Payment and Subscription Information
LoveUpp offers in-app monthly subscriptions. Payments are processed via Google Play Billing.
We do not store your full payment card information.
We may receive limited information from Google Play (e.g., purchase token, subscription status, country) to manage your subscription and provide access to premium features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To create and manage your user account
To allow you to share your heart rate with your selected friends
To send you notifications related to the App (for example, when your friend shares data)
To provide customer support and respond to your requests
To maintain and improve the App’s performance and security
To manage subscription status and access to premium features
To comply with legal obligations where applicable
We do not show advertisements in the App.
3. Legal Basis (for users in the EEA/UK and similar regions)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Contract: To provide you with the App and its features (account, sharing with friends, subscription).
Consent: For processing your heart rate data and sending push notifications, where required.
Legitimate Interests: To maintain and improve the App, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep our systems secure.

You may withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent. This will not affect processing that has already occurred.
4. How We Share Your Information
We respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may share data only in the following limited situations:
4.1 Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to help us operate the App, such as:
Google Firebase (for push notifications and backend services)
These service providers may process data on our behalf but are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
4.2 Friends You Choose
The core feature of the App is sharing your heart rate with your selected friends.
The heart rate data and related information you choose to share will be visible to those friends inside the App.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or public authorities, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of our users.
5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
We store your data on secure servers and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Your password is stored in encrypted/hashed form and cannot be read in plain text by us.
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the App, fulfill contractual or legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
When you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are legally required to retain certain information.
6. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (such as Firebase) may process data on servers located in countries other than your own.
Where required by applicable law, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of data protection for such transfers (for example, using standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards).

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

8. Account and Data Deletion
If you would like to delete your account and associated data, you can contact us at emkteknoloji@gmail.com with your request.
After confirming your identity, we will delete or anonymize your data, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
9. Children's Privacy and Child Safety Standards**
9.1. Children's Privacy
LoveUpp is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact emkteknoloji@gmail.com. We will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
9.2. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
LoveUpp strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in all forms. Users must not use LoveUpp or its services to sexually abuse, exploit, groom, or endanger anyone under 18.
Prohibited conduct includes sexual solicitation of minors, sexual extortion, trafficking for sexual purposes, and creating, uploading, possessing, requesting, sharing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
These standards apply to all users and all use of LoveUpp, regardless of the app’s minimum user age.
9.3. Reporting Child Safety Concerns
Anyone can report suspected CSAE, CSAM, or other child safety concerns related to LoveUpp by emailing emkteknoloji@gmail.com.
Please include a description of the concern and relevant account identifiers, if available. Do not attach, forward, or redistribute suspected CSAM.
9.4. Review and Enforcement
We review child safety reports and take appropriate action when we become aware of violations. Actions may include removing prohibited content where applicable, restricting access to the service, and suspending or terminating accounts involved in violations.
9.5. Reporting to Authorities
We comply with applicable child safety laws. We report confirmed CSAM to the relevant regional authority or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), as applicable, and cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top.
If changes are significant, we may notify you within the App or by email where appropriate.
