Where will the tutoring sessions take place?
Whether we meet in the comfort of your own home or the nearest public library, your child will be provided a calm and focused environment where they can make great academic gains. Online sessions are also available.
How will this help my child become more responsible?
Your child will gain the ability of understanding their crucial role in the learning process. We will work on the goal setting and communication skills required to do this.
How will my child grow?
I will specifically target whichever aspect of learning they are having trouble with, whether it’s reading, math, or writing. I also assist with executive functioning skills (ex: studying, planning, organization) and general homework help. I will provide monthly reports of your child's progress. These will be emailed to you as a pdf file.
Do you work with students that are homeschooled?
Absolutely! Whether your child is homeschooled or attends a public, private, and/or charter school, I have the materials and expertise to help them grow.
What curriculum do you use?
I will use a wide range of curriculum materials. Some materials I have made, others I have purchased throughout the years. I will use assessment data to determine your child's area of need, and use the Kansas State Standards for their grade level to determine a plan of action (individualized learning plan). These materials and your child's individualized learning plan will be shared with you after initial assessments have been done. Below I've linked the methodologies of teaching that I am passionate about and use in my instruction.
