I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, in a family dedicated to public service, social justice, and labor rights. These values - instilled by my parents - continue to influence my work and effort towards economic justice and community building/healing. I do not know exactly where I will go professionally, but I hope to continue contributing to the well-being and sustainability of all.
Outside of "work" I like to spend time with my cat, Gertie Stein, play music, listen to music, spend time outside and spend time with friends. I have volunteered and worked in hospice and respite care for individuals living with HIV and believe strongly in the value of caring for individuals in all stages and states of life and death.
I'd like to acknowledge my privilege as a white womxn of significant economic means. I want to acknowledge the lands of Native and Indigenous people where I've lived, worked, and played. I commit to working towards justice and reparations for systemic harms, and I hope that acknowledging my own place will help me work towards a better world.
