Emily Manetta
I'm a theoretical syntactician with a primary focus on Indic languages including Hindi-Urdu, Kashmiri, and Romani. My interests include wh-questions and displacement to the clausal peripheries, ellipsis phenomena, and verb-second word orders. I am currently enjoying working with a team investigating Romani language use and endangerment in the Mediterranean, the Unknown Languages Research Group based out of University of Memphis Linguistics, and co-leading Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Research Group with the Vermont Conversation Lab at the University of Vermont.
