I started playing basketball at the age of 6. My passion for the sport started right away and I knew I wanted to become the best all-around player and teammate that I could be.
My career began with a program called CBA. Since I was very young, I learned the needed fundamentals and the basics of the game. I learned valuable lessons on and off the court. As I got older, I knew I needed to be pushed and continue to grow myself not only on the court, but off the court as well. When I got to high school, I attended Saint Josephs in Trumbull, Connecticut and I realized I needed to make a change to the program I was playing AAU for. I began playing for DTX in the fall of my freshman year. My new coach, Coach Dave Taylor, played and coached at the division one level. He teaches and coaches with the same intensity as college. I began playing 17U Varsity when I was only a freshman. I knew this would be hard, but I knew it would help me in the long run. I continued to work on my skills every day on and off the court. I studied film to improve my IQ. In the winter of my junior year, Coach Taylor and I decided it would be best for me to not play HS basketball and to work on my individual skills through the winter months along with coaching my own 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls team. This developed my IQ tremendously. I continue to coach my own teams and will continue to get smarter, along with getting younger players smarter and better. I still play for DTX and will be continuing to work on and off the court and not only be the best player I can possibly be, but the person as well.
I have a goal to play basketball at the next level and will put the work in to achieve this.
