Hello! My name is Emily Carpenter. I am originally from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, where I grew up on a small show cattle and goat operation. My background in agriculture has fueled my passion for education and leadership in the field.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a minor in Global Health from Iowa State University, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Leadership Education with a focus on Teaching and Extension Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As an Agricultural Education Instructor, my goal is to assist students explore the world of agriculture in meaningful ways, whether in the classroom through hands-on experiences, or in their future careers.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and traveling, always looking for new places to explore and new books to learn from. I also volunteer as an advisor for the Kappa Alpha Theta chapter at Brown University and enjoy supporting collegiate members in leadership and personal development. I am super passionate about agriculture and look forward to a great year of learning and growth from both myself and my students!
